DOUBLE SLIDER WINDOW
Double slider windows have two panels that glide to the right or left horizontally in grooves or tracks.
Double sliders are very common and a great replacement window option for Madison, & Southern Wisconsin homes that were originally built using them. They have two side by side glass panels that both slide.
3 LITE SLIDING WINDOWS
3-Lite slider windows have three panels. The center panel is a stationary sash that does not move. The left and right panels glide to the right or left horizontally in grooves or tracks.
DOUBLE HUNG WINDOWS
Double hung windows have two panels (or sashes). Both the upper and lower panels slide vertically within a common frame. The bottom sash slides up to open while the top sash slides down to open. Unlike single hung windows, double hung windows do not have a fixed panel.
CASEMENT WINDOWS
Casement windows are hinged to allow an outward swing of the window away from the frame and wall. Casement windows typically have a single glass panel that swings open to the outside.
